Sa Gavina

Great restaurant in the centre of Arenal, owned by an English/Spanish couple. Excellent fresh homemade food, with lots of choice on the menu. Seating both inside and outside, with a beautiful sea view. A 10 minute walk from the apartment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

White Sands

Excellent restaurant situated within the White Sands Apartment Complex, with seating both inside & outside with views of the Infinity Swimming Pool & Arenal Bay. Good food at reasonable prices. Very popular so booking a table is recommended. A short walk from the apartment.

Copas/Red Bar

Actually situated on the beach, with uninterupted views of Arenal Bay. Excellent food and always a warm welcome. Has specials nights such as Shoulder of Lamb on a Thursday, which are advertised on a blackboard. Booking a table is recommended for a front line seat. A 10 minute walk from the apartment.

Mirador

Next to the Spar supermarket. Seating both inside and outside. Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent for families, there are game machines and a pool table. There is usually a children's disco one night per week during the summer months. Is excellent for snacks during the day, has a sea view and a swimming pool - A Visit Recommended. A short walk from the apartment.

Smithy's Bar/Restaurant

The nearest bar/restaurant to the apartment that is open the whole of the season. Owned by a British family and has a very friendly atmosphere. Excellent homemade food is served - especially the puddings. There is seating both inside & outside and booking a table is recommended.

Good Bridge Cafe

Very popular especially at lunchtime. Situated inbetween Sa Gavina & Romani, with great views of Arenal Bay.

Alcaldes

About 15 minute walk from the apartment. This restaurant has been totally refurbished and will open soon - review to follow.

Romani Bar/Restaurant

Very reasonably priced good food, has a menu of the day which changes each day. With seating both inside & outside and lovely views of Arenal Bay. Romani Supermarket & Gift Shop's are next door. A 10 minute walk from the apartment.

Kanes Pub

Was a good restaurant situated about a 10-minute walk from the apartment. It is closed at the moment - may open in the Summer months. Was very popular with families, seating both inside and outside.

Isla Paraiso

This restaurant is situated in the apartments next to the Spar supermarket. Suitable for families, it has a buffet/serve yourself system, is very reasonably priced and the quality of the food is good. Very busy, there is usually a queue at opening time - 18.30 hrs, as the guests of the Isla Paraiso apartments eat there as part of their package holiday (a lot of the guests are from Germany). Payment for eating at Isla Paraiso is made at the Main Reception of the apartments before going into the restaurant.

S’Arenal

Flambe restaurant situated at the far end of the beach overlooking the bay. Seating both inside and outside. Excellent food and service, but quite pricey - open Summer months only. Also has a snack bar on the beach, which is popular and good value for daytime snacks.

Sa Mirada

Very popular restaurant, good food and service. Very popular with families. Seating both inside and outside, children’s entertainment most evenings, game machines and enclosed climbing unit for children. Is part of the Sa Mirada apartments, which are advertised in the Thomson Super Family brochures. Family entertainment eg. Spanish/Russian Dancers once/twice per week. Sometimes difficult to find a free table, pre booking is advisable at peak times. Has a swimming pool, and is excellent for snacks during the day - open Summer months only

Japi Bar

Excellent especially for Pasta, but with lots of choice of other dishes too. Good service and value for money. Seating both inside and outside. Beautiful sea view, as situated above the bay. Very popular, sometimes have to wait for a table to become available outside.

Arepar

Ideal for families, popular for lunchtime snacks and dinner, has children’s entertainment and disco some nights. Linked to Arepar apartments, has a swimming pool and game machines. Very family orientated. Situated very close to the apartment - to the right of the balcony - open Summer months only.

La Paella

Situated on the beach next to the Copas/Red Bar Restaurant. Excellent for a lunchtime snack whilst taking a break from your sun lounger.

The Irish Bar

Situated next to Sa Gavina, Ken & Sarge serve a great pint of draught Guinness alonside other beers. They have Sky Sports on large screens both inside and outside. No food is available. They have live entertainment in the Summer months, and is open until the last customer leaves in the morning. A blackboard outside is updated daily with 'what's on' for the next few days.

The Outback Bar

Found by walking up the steps by the Japi Bar, there is live entertainment in the Summer months, and is open untill late, late, late!! Has seating both inside & outside.

Goody Goody Bar & Children's Play Area

Situated actually on the beach with seating both inside & outside - serves drinks, cocktails and snacks. There is a bouncy castle, racing cars etc to keep the children occupied & happy!!
