El Picadero
Mahon to St Lluis Road Superb carvery - good quality food, wide range of food, well cooked and presented, friendly staff and a good atmosphere.
Unlimited wine and water, beer and spirits extra. Very good selection of sweets and ice creams. Eat and drink as much of this excellent food and wine as your like for approximately £16 per person, with a reduction for children, depending on their age. Well worth a visit! Owned by Englishman - Terry Hazard who is always on duty.
Directions From Arenal take to road into Mahon, when you get near the port turn right at the roundabout, left at the next roundabout.
At the traffic lights turn right, go straight ahead at all the roundabouts until you see a sign for St Lluis, this brings you to the main Mahon to St Lluis road, turn right. El Picadero is about 1 mile along this road on your right
San Jose
Owned by an English couple. Excellent food with good choice. Has an excellent reputation and during the summer months booking in advance is advised. There is seating both inside and outside. Situated on the main road just outside Mahon, on the right.
Bar Pins
Puerto d Addaia English owned bar, which has recently changed hands. Did serve excellent food, both at lunch time and evening, with good portions and value for money. Needs checking out to see if still worth a visit!
Directions From Arenal travel past Coves Noves, straight on at the roundabout, take the next road left, sign posted Puerto d Addaia. Travel along this road until you see a supermarket on your right. Bar Pins is close to the supermarket. There is seating both inside and outside.
Es Cranc
Fornells Excellent Fish restaurant with buzzing atmosphere. Popular with local Spanish families. Booking is essential. Both the food and the service are excellent, although a little pricey. Closed on Wednesdays. During the summer months there is a menu of the day available additional to the main menu, which is good value
El Italiano
Mahon Good quality, tasty Italian food, reasonably priced, good service. Situated on the main road out of Mahon to Es Castell. Seating is both outside and inside
Pinamar
Son Parc Very popular, friendly restaurant within walking distance of the centre of Son Parc. Good reasonably priced food
Sa Barracca
Situated on the main road between Arenal and Fornells, near the Son Parc turn off. Well known for excellent Suckling Pig (24 hours notice needed), but there is lots of other choice on the menu. Seating inside only.
Molis Windmill
Es Mercadel A converted Windmill, on the main Mahon to Mercadel road. Very good quality Menorcan food. Regularly used by Spanish diners and is open all year round. Seating both inside and outside
De Nit A Menorcan farmhouse with a good, varied menu, excellent, good quality food and service, a bit pricey. Situated between Mahon and San Clemente
Pan y Vino
Good quality restaurant, owned by an English couple. A bit pricey, out in the country just outside St Lluis, with seating both inside and outside
Es Plans
Reasonably priced, good quality, home cooked food, lots of choice, owned by a friendly English couple, open all year and heated in Winter. Have specials nights (Fish & Chips etc). Situated between Alayor and Mercadel on the main Mahon to Ciudadela road
Et Arcs
Es Mercadel Very large Spanish restaurant situated a little further along the main road past Molis Windmill. Good quality, reasonably priced food in nice surroundings. Inside seating only
Cobblers Garden Restaurant
Alaior Pretty courtyard setting, able to dine al fresco. Good quality food, well presented with good service. A bit pricey
Bar Espania
Very popular Spanish restaurant, used by locals, good food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price
Es Castell
There are a number of good restaurants on the waterfront at Es Castell, many specialising in fresh fish.
Na Macaret
All three restaurants in this small village worth a visit. The two facing the car park are popular with families both at lunch time and evenings, specialising in menu of the day, excellent value for money. The third, (Restaurant Na Macaret) as you walk down to the beach is more expensive, but the quality of food and service is good.
